Your library,
ready for the couch.

Couchfall is a home-cinema app for your own Emby, Jellyfin and Plex servers. Everything you’ve collected, in one place that feels like a streaming service — in your browser and, soon, on your TV.

Free. No account. Your films stay on your server.

Every server.
One library.

Add your Emby, Jellyfin and Plex servers and Couchfall shows them as a single collection. The 4K and 1080p copies of the same film become one title, with the quality right on the card — pick the one you want, or let Couchfall choose.

  • Continue Watching that follows you across servers
  • Profiles for everyone in the house, each with their own progress
  • Search, genres, collections and trailers, all in one place

Picture and sound,
done properly.

Couchfall plays your files as they are. It never converts a film behind your back — if your device can’t play something, it tells you why, and only converts when you allow it.

  • Dolby and DTS surround sent untouched to your receiver (TV app)
  • The TV switches to each film’s own frame rate, so motion stays smooth
  • HDR, built-in subtitles and every audio track in the file

These aren’t extras. They’re free, and they always will be.

Private by design

There’s no Couchfall account and nothing to upload. The app talks straight to your own server, so your films, your watch history and your sign-ins stay between your devices and your server. We never see what you watch.

Questions

Do I need my own media server?

Yes — Couchfall is a way to watch the films and shows you already keep on Emby, Jellyfin or Plex. It doesn’t come with anything to watch. Don’t have a server yet? Try the demo to see how it feels.

What does it cost?

Couchfall is free. Some optional extras may come later, but playback — quality, sound, frame-rate matching, HDR — will always be free.

Which devices does it run on?

Any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone. An app for Google TV and Android TV, with full surround sound passthrough, is on the way.

Does it work away from home?

Yes, as long as your server can be reached from where you are — the same as with your server’s own apps. Plex sets this up for you; for Emby and Jellyfin, use the address you’d use from outside.

My server uses http, not https. Is that a problem?

No. Browsers are strict about secure pages talking to http servers, so when that happens Couchfall walks you through it — usually a single click.

Is Couchfall made by Emby, Jellyfin or Plex?

No. Couchfall is an independent app that works with their servers. Their names belong to their owners.
